Rare Lehmann & Cie Doll 19" 1905 Bebe Ideal ,Barcelona, for French market

Description

This doll is 19" tall with a bisque head and 5 piece paper mache body. The mark is LC and an anchor for Lehmann & Cie  of  Spain. Light tested, no chips or cracks in the bisque head but one ear piercing has a little chip, glass eyes look to have been reset in the past and don't sleep.

Around 1900, the Eden-Bébé Factory dispatched the most coveted international toy and doll brands in Barcelona.
In addition to the Barcelona branch, the Franco-German company Eden-Bébé had offices in Fürth and, also in Paris, from where it orchestrated, in 1899, the creation of a trust that brought together the staff of the Parisian factories in the sector: the Société Française de manufacture of Bébés et Jouets.
The location of a dependency of Eden-Bébé in the Barcelona of 1900, where it turned under the name of Lehmann y Cía, places the city at the center of the international map of the toy industry.
