Two Vintage Bisque Sisters 3 5/8" Japan 1930s?

Description

Two adorable sisters, one dressed in blue and the other in pink identically made outfits.
Each doll is holding her own doll in her left arm.
They are marked on the back JAPAN.
The graphics on the original box are very representative of the 1920s & 30s.
One corner of the box is split and there is some edge wear.
Part of the end label is missing.
What looks to be paint loss from use in the pictures is actually a less-than-perfect paint job during manufacture.
